Traditional marketing: traditional marketing is ok but if you want to reach millions of people you'll have to spend zillions of dollars. You'll have to promote to newspapers, magazines, television commercials (on prime time), pay for pubs in websites and so on, it would cost you a fortune, before you even sell one. Affiliate programs: And now for the best one to work on the internet without having to meet anyone. Let us use the last example. I want to sell credit reports to the entire United states using the Internet. I start a reseller program saying that I will give $5 for every credit report sold by an affiliate. Through your offer you'd recruit 100's and even 10's of thousands of affiliates anxious to sell your products. They would do their own promotional campaign, they would spend the time building websites, they would publish their sites themselves, they would pay for publicity, if they want to, and all you'd have to do is let them get at it. So instead of spending millions of dollars in publicity, you'd have thousands of people doing it for you for FREE, since they get paid only when they make a sell.

Now for the down side: YOU ARE NOT ALONE, there are more an more affiliates and more and more websites, how do we win the affiliate game?

Here's my story (hope you don't fall asleep over it). You can start with no money, as I did with a small website. I personally started in 1998 with absolutely no money and I actually made a lot of money without even spending a dime... but I spent a lot of time. After a year of doing this incredible task of working day and night, I realised that I could not go on like this forever... actually my wife would not let me and my doctor wanted to leave me as well (same person)... ok for that slice of life let's get back to the point.

I certainly knew then (I'll tell you why I say then a bit later) how to work my way up to the search engines and have tons (half a ton) of visitors on my websites, I believe at one time I had over 3,000 websites going with practically no automation besides a couple of submitting softwares. So you can imagine how much time I had left for my family after I was done (I was never done) managing my websites in the week (12 day week actually). I basically enrolled in programs offered by merchants or by networks like Commission Junction, BeFree, Linkshare and one with exceptionnal commissions due to the electronic aspect of the products Clickbank for free, and promoted them the best I could.

Then I realised that, first of all, the search engines change their algorithm (that's how they search and classify your website) all the time so it is hard to keep up with the changes. Also the web itself is changing to a more "directorial" approach on how it files everything and lastly, as I said, there are more and more affiliates and more and more websites to compete with, and it struck me, I needed  some affiliate training programs to help me.

So I started researching ways of competing with other affiliates and against the billions of websites around the globe (yes you can sell in Zimbabwe if you want). So I had to find a way to win and I did, it was too simple to think of it myself it had to be somebody else, buy hey, I'm making money anyhow, and you know what?
